Zlatan accuses DJ Cuppy of not paying him for their “Gelato” collaboration

Published

on

Since UK-based Nigerian DJ and artiste, DJ Cuppy took to her Twitter account early hours of Wednesday morning, last three weeks, about Nigerian Street-Hop and Afrobeat rapper, Zlatan Ibile blocking her across social media for reasons unknown to her, it has resulted in a lot of back and forth from fans of both artistes and neutrals ones alike, making suggestions and guesses as to why the rapper would block someone he recently collaborated with, talk more of a billionaire’s daughter, who DJ Cuppy happens to be.

Yesterday, however, Zlatan, born Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, on The Switch, a talkshow on Nigerian TV station, SoundCity owned, On TV spoke on the matter and fully denied knowing who DJ Cuppy is, even asking questions like “who?” and “is that an artiste?” to counter the host’s original questions.

Although in an IG Live with Davido, which recently surfaced on the internet, Zlatan did not deny knowing who Cuppy is, rather he spoke on how underpaid, if paid at all, he was during the whole Gelato process.

Speaking in Pidgin English, the singer and rapper said the Otedola’s (not naming who is who) were lavishly spending money, the sum of “500,000” and “1,000,000” despite not being paid for his work.

He said it in a very joking way, people might have not taken seriously at the time, but with recent unfolding of news, it seems to be true, as a close associate of Davido and DMW, known simply as Israel DMW (@isrealdmw on Instagram) spoke on the DJ Cuppy and Zlatan issue.

Isreal gave “kudos” to Zlatan for speaking up while blasting Cuppy on how unfairly Zlatan was treated, claiming she used him because of the name her father, (Femi Otedola) has established, adding even that she took Zlatan along with her for a “fund raising” at Abuja and she (Cuppy) did not even bother to settle his (Zlatan’s) accomadation. Isreal DMW claimed Zlatan had to use money of his own pocket to pay for the hotel bills.

Isreal DMW put DJ Cuppy on blast for treating Zlatan Ibile unfairly via IG story.

Zlatan Ibile has not come forward to accept or deny Isreal claims since and Cuppy’s silence on the whole issue is also of note.

While some tweeps take jab at those who don’t smoke weed but indulge in the “woke” culture by wishing stoners a “Happy 420”, others in their own way intentionally misinterpret certain scriptural verses for comedic purpose in order to aid and bait their smoking habits, still others take it upon themselves to disperse various memes which for sure will bring a smile upon your face.
