  • Over a dozen of the top 35 richest people in the world according to Forbes real-time data have children under the age of 40.
  • Many of these children are poised to inherit billions from their superrich parents, while others will receive smaller cuts due to their parents signing the Giving Pledge.
  • From Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s toddlers to Bernard Arnault’s LVMHexecutive sons, here’s a closer look at some of the world’s wealthiest heirs and heiresses.
From preschool toddlers to high-ranking executives, the heirs of some of the world’s wealthiest are poised to inherit massive fortunes. Many of the young heirs of famous billionaires including the children of the richest people in tech and the richest people in business will receive large inheritances, if they haven’t already. Meanwhile, other billionaires have promised to give some, most, or, in Warren Buffett ‘s case, all, of their wealth away.
We looked at the 35 richest individuals and families in the world using real-time data from Forbes’ billionaire index . We listed those who have children under the age of 40 and ordered the list of heirs by their parent’s wealth, beginning with Jeff Bezos currently the richest person alive .
For the purposes of this list, we looked only at the billionaires’ direct descendants and excluded grandkids. Notably, this methodology means that some high-profile billionaires’ grandchildren amongst them Franois Pinault’s grandson of the same name , Francoise Bettencourt Meyers’ grandson who was called ” The Prince of L’Oreal ,” and the Waltongrandchildren are not included in the round-up.

Wizkid (sobriquet Big Wiz or StarBoy) receives the honour as Apple Music Artist of the Year (Africa) for 2021. The annual award held by the premier streaming platform praises individual artites for having a stellar year on its music platform both through streams and culturally.

On Wizkid winning, an excerpt from Apple Music reads: ” In October 2020, he released “Made in Lagos,” his critically acclaimed and most commercially successful album, which included his hit song “Essence,” a track that gained 125 million plays on Apple Music and over 2.8 million Shazams. This past year, he’s been the most streamed African artist on the continent on Apple Music and ranked on the Daily Top 100 charts in 60 countries, in addition to his monthly plays on Apple Music growing by more than 250 percent outside of Africa.”

“Thank you to Apple Music for this award”, Wizkid said, continuing, “It’s a blessing to get to do what I do, and I’m proud to be representing for Africa.”, Ayodeji “Wizkid” Balogun says in thank you speech. The Apple Music Award, the third annual series will air on Apple Music and Apple TV starting Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
