Ilekebyrelish wants to make you standout!

At first ilekebyrelish was a side thing to Ayomide, a graduate of public health from Osun state university, until she started finding her “hobby” much more interesting and decided to build a brand around it, like every business Ilekebyrelish had its story!

The brand started in 2018, when Ayomide was selling waist bead at her departmental tradefair, and she didn’t look back. Over the years the brand has gone through iterations and expansion, from just waitbeads to bracelets and bags but the goal still remains the same, to make you stand out!

Last of a dying breed! Theurbanyorubas is building a new fashion community while modernizing the yoruba culture

Teniola Onanubi has always being a fan of fashion, he could recall himself finding time in the space of his tight academy schedule to follow Kim Jones and Virgil Abloh’s shows but Teni’s love for fashion didn’t start from the run way.

After over twenty years of military rule, a New Democratic government in 1999 brought about lots of economic policy which opened the country up for trade, a striving music industry 10 years later had then kids like Teni like there peers around the would wanna be superstars, while everyone choose music, he chose fashion, taking inspiration from his immediate environment, in Abeokuta but there was downside, the huge pop culture was hugely limited to Lagos, places like Abeokuta was different, so he was seen as weird, a disadvantage which soon switched into an advantage for him, using the heavy Yoruba culture presence in Abeokuta to direct his clothing line, in his words “Well its just a me thing i dont have a team
Its a fashion brand trying to represent the Yoruba culture
There is this concept now that makes out culture look like old school and non fun
But the brand is trying to tell a story of history and try to preserve it the fun way”.
