Peter “Mr. P” Okoye Announces ‘The Prodigal’ Album for January 2021

Peter Okoye, one-half of the defunct group P-Square, known professionally as Mr. P has announced to his fans to be in anticipation of his music album to be released in January 2021.

In announcing the album, titled ‘The Prodigal’, he likened the excitement he feels within to the joy of expecting a child, children infact, yes as much as sextuplets.

He captioned his excitement vividly: “Somebody is pregnant for me! Yes my album is pregnant! And it’s almost due! What I am expecting is more than triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets and even septuplets [trobule emojis] Trouble meets wahala! The 10 days Countdown for the first single from the shelves of THE PRODIGAL ALBUM starts on Wednesday 2nd December! Can’t wait! Don’t expect anything less cos am different! Get your dancing shoes ready!”

Starting from December 2, (two days from now), a 10-day countdown will begin for the release of the first single off of ‘The Prodigal’ album as announced by Mr. P himself.

In other Mr. P’s related news, he has slated December to be a month of giveaways, well tagging it #DecemberToRemember, a month he has dedicated to giving lucky winners Smart TVs, mobile phones, cash prizes and lot more; only requirement is if they (the fans) obey and follow qualification requirements written on his social media pages.

‘Arya Starr’ debuts at No. 1 on Nigerian Apple Music ‘Top Albums’ chart

Mavin Records newly signed artiste has taken 2021 by storm with her debut EP — Arya Starr — which in a short amount of time and maybe unexpectedly is already the number on Nigerian Apple Music ‘Top Albums’.

Arya Starr will become the second female since Tems and first of 2021 to top the Apple Music NG album charts; Tems topped the chart with ‘For Broken Ears’ EP. Arya Starr also seems to draw a lot of comparisons to Tems, fans and listeners cite sound, genre of music (and for some, looks) as factors for such comparisons.

Arya Starr dispositions “Made In Lagos” which has been atop the Apple Music charts for Nigerian albums for more three weeks now.

Arya Starr is currently the No. 1 album on Nigerian Apple Music.

2021 Mavin Signee, Arya Starr releases her debut EP, named after herself – Arya Starr. The Lagos-based Benin-born singer navigates through 13 minutes of well peroduced tracks with outstanding vocals on topics ranging predominantly on love (on “Sare”, “Ija”, “Memories”) to being personal (on “Ditr”).

Wizkid’s “Ginger” and “Essence” hold down the top 2 spot on UK Afrobeat Charts

Ginger by Wizkid and Burna Boy peaks at the top spot of UK Afrobeat Charts while Essence by Wizkid and Tems moves to the second spot.

Ginger previously peaked at No. 2 while Essence at No. 3 on the charts but it was projected for the collaborative effort between two of Nigeria’s finest exporters of music to eventually become number one someday.

Ginger displaces Yxng Bane featuring D-Block Europe “Cut Me Off” from the No. 1 position, moving two spaces to become this week’s No. 1 song on the UK Afrobeat Charts. Both Ginger and Essence are both featured on Wizkid’s October released ‘Made In Lagos’.
