New music video: Focus – Joeboy

Published

on

Nigerian Afro-Pop lover-boy, Joeboy puts out the Dammy Twitch shot video for the second track off of ‘Somehwere Between Beauty & Magic’ album, titled — Focus.

The video for Focus has Joeboy showcase nonchalance, dedicating all his feelings for love, ignorant of what death can cause; living in the moment — letting love control his emotions and worst of all, drinking and driving which consequently led to him crashing his car and dying from the effects.

Focus video tells the story of two lovers, who at first had a rosy relationship but as time flies, the girl starts to loose affection for the boy due to his lavish lifestyle and eccentric aims, causing their relationship to become rocky.

The effects of their relationship drama dawned on Joeboy and he tries escaping the pain and lack of affection shown him by his significant other by drowning himself in alcohol which eventually led to his death in the video.

I feel the video should have ended with the warnings: DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE or something like ‘Drink Responsibly’ but oh well.

Zlatan features DMW’s Davido & Mayorkun on new dance record “Cho Cho”

Published

on

Zlatan aka Zlatan Ibile features DMW powerhouse Davido and protégé Mayorkun on new single—Cho Cho—produced by P Priime.

Cho Cho is a dance record with samples of Amapiano beat in the instrumental and very upbeat. Zlatan, Mayorkun and Davido made sure to saturate the filler track with a lot of yourba slangs and imply Cho Cho being a new dance in their lyrics, “ji jo chokiri cho cho”.

On the track all artistes involved made sure to reaffirm the fact they will not tolerate any form of disrespect or belittling from opposers, stating they would make sure to show their true colours while making such ones do the Cho Cho dance.

Listen to Cho Cho which for sure will make you move your body to the bouncy beat
