“E choke” – video of Davido and Drake spotted in the same studio stir reactions from fans

Afrobeat and Afro-Pop superstar, David Adeleke aka Davido shares video of himself with Canadian rap icon, Aubrey Graham, better known as Drake and that evokes wild reactions from fans and users of social media in Nigeria.

In the very short video, Davdio is seen, with his contagious energy as usual, chanting the slang he made popular in 2021, “E choke” while Drake repeats after him. Davido appropriately tagged the video, “XXL” for extra extra large and judging by reactions, that really is the case.

It is unclear if they will release the song(s) anytime soon but Davido’s loyal army, the ‘30BG’ or ‘Tatibiji’ have been put in a frenzy making wild assumptions and reactions about what could be.

If Davido and Drake eventually released their collaboration, it would mark the third time Drake will be collaborating with a Nigerian Afrobeat artiste following ‘One Dance’ & ‘Come Closer’ with Wizkid and ‘Won’t Be Late’ co-produced by Tekno, continuing to prove Drake’s love for Afrobeat while continuing Davido’s international feature spree from his latest album, ‘A Better Time’.

PH-based duo Ajebo Hustlers unveiled the tracklist to their upcoming album—Kpos Lifestyle Vol. 1—containing features from Nissi and Omah Lay.

The album has 10 tracks in total with pre-released tracks “Pronto” and “Barawo” (which shot them to the limelight) making the tracklist.

Ajebo Hustlers also called on a plethora of producers like Grammy winning Telz, DMW affiliated Fresh VDM, rising act 1daBanton, Orlando Magic and so on to handle their sound, making beats they can flow with.

Kpos Lifestyle Vol. 1 will be released on Friday, July 23rd licensed under Avantie. Check the full tracklist in photo art form below:

Lady Donli new EP to drop on July 30 + new single—“Searching”—out now

Lady Donli AKA Cash Mummy is set to release new music after being on a hiatus for a while by dropping her new EP—Wild—next week Friday, July 30th.

The EP will contain 6 songs, including the most recent single (which dropped yesterday)—“Searching”. Listen to it here:

Wild EP features Shaé Universe and Sugarbana on its third track—“PUT IT ON”—while Ragz Originale is called upon for the final song on the project—“Set The Fire / Love Gyal”.

This would be Lady Donli’s first project in almost 2 years since releasing her debut album — “Enjoy Your Life” — in August of 2019.

Nigerian music superstar, Olamide’s latest album—UY Scuti—keeps soaring on the charts and receiving massive airplay due to its replay value which has resulted in him granting an interview with Grammy.com where he talks about his music and influences which gave birth to his latest music project.

Asked on where his head was at or simply put his thought process when making UY Scuti, Olamide answered: “I was basically thinking about doing a timeless project that isn’t about having club bangers or street acting.” Olamide relays. Commenting further, he told the Grammy correspondent: “I listened to a lot of Lauryn Hill. I think her music was my major influence on this project.”

Speaking on what he appreciates most about The Fugees song maestro, Olamide pin-points “Her versatility” while also giving her credit for her great contribution to music and adoring Lauryn Hill’s ability to make timeless music.
