National Public Radio (NPR) continue to shine the light on black artistes for Black History Month, having Davido as guest for this week’s edition. Davido honoured the call by performing with his band a medley of hit singles, both past and present.

To kick off his Tiny Desk performance, Davido sang to the beat of ‘Gobe’, the smash hit single from his debut album—‘Omo Baba Olowo’. After the nice intro song, Davido gave an inspiring speech about his father, Adedeji Adeleke, a renowned business mogul who Davido called an inspiration.

“My dad worked at Burger King . . . to become what he’s become as a Black man, starting off in America has been very, very inspiring to me” Davido applauds his father’s work ethic and competitive drive.

After the speech, Davido continues to thrill viewers with his performance, transitioning from one hit to another from ‘Aye’ to ‘Risky’ and finally ending with ‘Jowo’ off his recent album—‘A Better Time’.

The location is set at Davdio’s house. Watch the full 12 minutes performance on NPR’s YouTube channel:
