Chadwick Boseman “Black Panther” is dead, Hollywood pays homage

As the news hit social media that Chadwick Boseman died at age 43 after a four-year battle with colon cancer, Hollywood is remembering the actor who became a household name when he starred in the title role of the Marvel superhero movie “Black Panther.”

Jordan Peele tweeted, “This is a crushing blow.”

Fellow director Nia DaCosta wrote, “I’ll miss waiting to see what he does next. Rest in power.”

Boseman’s family announced on his Twitter on Friday night that he died with his wife and family by his side. Calling Boseman “a true fighter,” the family said he was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and “battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.”

“Chadwick’s passing is absolutely devastating,” said Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and chief creative officer of Marvel, in a statement. “He was our T’Challa, our Black Panther, and our dear friend. Each time he stepped on set, he radiated charisma and joy, and each time he appeared on screen, he created something truly indelible. He embodied a lot of amazing people in his work, and nobody was better at bringing great men to life. He was as smart and kind and powerful and strong as any person he portrayed. Now he takes his place alongside them as an icon for the ages. The Marvel Studios family deeply mourns his loss, and we are grieving tonight with his family.”

Several other Marvel stars expressed their condolences on Twitter. Don Cheadle wrote, “I will miss you, birthday brother. you were always light and love to me. my god…”

Bruno Mars: “If you don’t release music, you can’t loose any Grammys”

Singer and instrumentalist, Peter Gene Hernandez, popularly known by his artist name, Bruno Mars joined the #ThinkAboutIt Challenge over 3 months after it originated.

Via an Instagram post, he funnily decided to air out opinions on why an artist won’t be considered for the prestigious GRAMMYs Awards.

The musician alongside a host of other were not nominated for the 2021 GRAMMYs and this is what he had to say about it: ““If you don’t release music, you can’t loose any Grammys”, giving fans an hint on why he was not considered for next year Grammy Awards.

This hilarious comments is probably aimed at artist who complained of being snubbed by the Recording Academy, Grammy Awards.

Bruno Mars won 7 awards at 2018 Grammy Awards for his excellent job on “24K Magic” which took his total to 11 Grammy Awards.

Music Producer, Pheelz to Drop Debut EP Next Year

Very well known music producer, Pheelz aka Pheelz on the beat held an interactive session with fans in form of question and answer on his Twitter page through which fans can get to know him better using the hashtag – #Askpheelz.

Pheelz who is mostly known for his production credits on various YBNL boss’s songs, Olamide and his very catchy producer tag ryhtm and cool and young (quite misplaced for riddim makulayor) also has production credits for various top Nigerian artistes like Adekunle Gold, Vector, Fireboy DML, DRB Lasgidi etc. got questioned on various subjects by fans, one of which was: “what’s your favourite production so far?”

Pheelz response was so unexpected, he said: “My Ep !!! Next year will be really interesting”

In other Pheelz related news, he revealed in the Q&A held that he and BBN’s winner, Laycon, have songs together, even posting a photo of them together in the studio.

Davido Rewards ₦1 Million to DJ for Mixing His Old Hits on His Birthday

The DJ, known by his social media handle – @dj_peejay and the display name – Uncle Peejay did a mix of Nigeria’s superstar, Davido’s old songs got rewarded by the 30BG boss himself.

The 1:14 long video featured hits like “Carolina”, “Back When”, “Dami Duro” instrumentals and “Aye”, all mega hit singles by Davido and was postes by the DJ – DJ Peejay – on Davdio’s birthday on November 21st.

This act did not go unnoticed as the singer was in a cheerful spirit, spreading a better time to fans and lovers of his music anyway possible, hence rewarding the effort of the DJ with a whopping sum of one million naira (₦1M).

The gift was announced by the DJ himself via his Twitter’s account today (November 25) who revealed to his followers that he got the amount because of the video of him mixing Davido’s hit singles on his birthday.
