South African acts, Focalistic and Vigro Deep recruits Davido for the music video of the trending Amapiano single—Ke Star.

Ke Star is an Amapiano-EDM record, requiring lesser amount of vocals from the artistes involved while giving room for listeners to gyrate to the bouncy beat and that its visuals supplies in excess with different dancers showing off various typical South African dances.

Finally, every Hip-Hop and Rap fan in Nigeria get what they have been waiting on for a very long time, a collaboration between two of Africa’s most respected rap figures, Vector “tha Viper” and “Mr Incredible, ‘MI’ Abaga”. They’re to work together on the collaboration titled—Crown of Clay.

MI and Vector as we know had their almost a decade long infamous feud which resulted in a lot of name callings, insults, unnecessary charter, indirect subs and most importantly – the diss tracks (both from a personal point of view and collectively from their individual cliques).

The year 2020 though brought an end to their beef when Alcoholic brand—Hennesy VSOP —organised for the artistes to meet and reconcile amicably through the YouTube series – ‘The Conversation by Hennessy artistry’ – much to the delight of fans (or maybe not, because those diss tracks were amazingly fire and quite engaging I am not even going to lie *laughing emoji*). And few months later, we are meant to enjoy two of Nigeria’s most lyrical and commercially successful rappers on a track. Wow!

Although not much detail is known as to the collaboration—Crown of Clay, whether it is going to be just a single, or eventually turn out to be a project – EP, mixtape or album – but we know it will soon come according to MI while vector simply tells fans to make sure they turn on post notifications; for sure, this is a must follow-up story and fans will be eager to know how it eventually turns out.

Fresh off his vividly voiced single, ‘Thunder Fire You’, Ric Hassani drops his sophomore, two years after making a resounding debut on the Nigerian music scene. He titles his second LP—The Prince I Became.

If there is one thing we have learnt from Ric Hassani since making his debut, it is that he is not afraid to voice his emotions, even if it means being literal, thinking out loud, as in the case of recent and promotional single for his sophomore album – ‘Thunder Fire You’.

The Prince I Became judging from the tracklist boasts to be genre mixing, infusing Ric Hassani’s staple – R&B and Pop – while also creating space for Gospel, recruiting some of gospel’s finest in Calledout Music and Frank Edwards on ‘Victory Belongs To Jesus’.

What to expect from The Prince I Became? Excellent vocals and storytelling as always, the classic Ric Hassani style while also banking on him to give us some shake body jam like ‘Do Lai Dat’ featuring Kuami Eugene. From the tracklist, we can also tell the album is a flurry of emotions, mostly of love while the latter part of the album, especially the last three songs on it, Ric Hassani turns our attention to the Lord, Jesus Christ, spreading the gospel in his own little way.
