Burna Boy Gets Back To Back Grammy’s Nominations 2 Years In A Row

Burna Boy in all actuality, shape and form keeps solidifying his claims as one of Africa’s greatest musicians and the world by large.

Like his last nod for the Grammy Awards, he is nominated for Best Global Album (previously “Best World Album”) for his 2020’s “Twice As Tall” album and just like the last time, he is being tipped to snatch the award and bring it home this time around.

Another Nigerian, making fans happy is Wizkid for his joint nomination with Beyoncé and SAINt JHN for Best Music Video of “Black Skin Girl”.

The 2021 Grammy Awards, 63rd of its kind will hold on January 31, 2021 and will be hosted by African-American TV personality, Trevor Noah.

The most nominated artist for next year’s Grammy’s is Beyoncé with Taylor Swift, Roddy Ricch and Dua Lipa getting 6 nominations each. Major upset of the year sees The Weeknd receiving zero accolades or recognition for the 63rd Grammy’s.

Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are major contenders for the most coveted Song of the Year and Album of the Year for “Black Parade” and “Folklore” album respectively.

Megan Thee Stallion flourishing year in Hip-Hop continues as she bags 4 nominations for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance off of her single – “Savage”.

Buju drops video for “So Lovely”

On A Spaceship artiste, Buju alias Buju to your ears, drops the video to his single — So Lovely — which was released on December 2, 2020.

The settings for So Lovely is a night club and is shot and directed by upcoming cinematographer – The Alien; So Lovely video showcases a lot of dance scenes while Buju basically does his thing, caress the tune with his nice vocals.

Sia and Burna Boy get animated on “Hey Boy” visuals

The music video for the much anticipated collab between Sia Furler and Burna Boy has finally arrived and it is a joy to watch!

Sia and Burna are animated characters for the Rafatoon directed video for Hey Boy. Sia is spotted in her trademark face-covering blonde and black wig.

Burna Boy enters with the words: “If you come closer babe / Make I put you for my roster babe” and he meant that to the core, as his character’s first appearance which has semblance with a wolf (or maybe dog) is seen sitted between two female zebra characters with other booties character surrounding him.

Sia’s character perfoms for an audience which ranges from humans to cyborg animals before transitioning to a trippy field, where Burna Boy appears too.

Sia and Burna Boy link up on “Hey Boy”

Australian Pop sensation and mega superstar Sia, link up with African Giant, Burna Boy on the remix for Hey Boy. Hey Boy was released on November 19th, 2020 with the sequel seeing light of day today – January 14.

The collab which was teased two days prior to its release already had fans gushing over the magnitiude and importance of such link up with expectations shooting up the roof.

Hey Boy is a Pop song with electronic-guitar instrumentals which Sia did justice to; starting off with the lyrics: “Hey boy, what you from me?” quickly setting the tone on what the song is about.

Burna Boy brings his lyrical brilliance on the track as he gravitates towards the feminine gender, assuring his lover he is ready to get cozzy with her, he sings: “If you come closer babe / Make I put you on my roster babe / Put me weapon inna your holster babe / Your last lover was a joker babe.”

Sia and Burna Boy are both signed under Atlantic Records. Hey Boy remix is the last track of the motion picture soundtrack for the movie (of the same name) titled — Music — which has a release date of February 12, 2021.
