“Money is one of the most important ingredients for success in the music industry.

The backbone of Afrobeat came from wealth.

Fela Kuti was a privileged kid, who could afford to leave Nigeria, and travel to the US to get jazz exposure.

Money doesn’t invalidate your hardwork. Also, this deep-seated resentment of wealthy people in this country is dumb.

Hating on another man for having a bigger barn is akin to witchcraft.

No one chose how the situation you come to meet on earth. You simply adapt and improve on it.

Money in music is a blessing.“

Moelogo “I” EP to feature Adekunle Gold, Laycon, The Cavemen., krishane and a host of other artistes

London-based Nigerian singer cum producer, Moelogo is on track to release his fifth Extended Play (EP) which features a whole bunch of top artistes across genres. The EP has the title – I.

I continues the trend Moelogo embarked on in 2020 with the use of  the first person singular pronouns in “Myself” (June 2020) and “Me” (December 2020), with the soon-to-be released I not having a date of release yet.

Moelogo will feature rappers Laycon and Alpha Ojini while boasting a tonne of male vocalists from LAX to Adekunle Gold to Reekado Banks. Jamaican singer, Krishane will also be a guest act on the; Nigerian highlife duo – The Cavemen. has a secured spot too, not forgetting Mr. “Alagbe” himself, Qdot. Ria Sean is the only female artiste to be featured on the upcoming EP.

Moelogo unleashed the artistes roll via his Twitter account, keeping the information precise. Therefore, what songs and in what other these featured artistes will appear on I EP is still very much unknown.

Oxlade drops new video for “DKT”

DKT, short for Dis Kain Thing (this kind [of] thing in English) gets the video shot and directed by Dammy Twitch for Oxlade.

The storyline of the video goes from early relationship bubly activities to the arguements and then back to the make up.

DKT music video is beautifully shot while the actors – Oxlade and his on-screen partner acted their roles quite well. The different scenery also make for an interesting and engaging visual while Oxlade lays his powerful and lovely vocals on the Spaxx produced instrumental.

LadiPoe and Buju toast to the good life on collab track, “Feeling”

I like the way I’m feeling now / No come use your reggae spoil my blues and rhythm now” Buju affirms with LadiPoe complimenting, “Way out my feelings, nothing can stress me / The way I run the game, I’m feeling like referee”, both artistes stating their confidence in their present state of mind and physical condition on new track – Feeling.

The song, Feeling is all about positive vibes, chilling and savouring the best out of the present moments, instead of being overly anxious of what could happen next. LadiPoe reminds listeners on the bridge, “So we toast to the good life / Living every minute to the full ’cause I could die”.

Buju brings his lovely vocals, serenading as usual and provides just the right ambience for LadiPoe to lay in his bars on the instrumental which switches between chilled and quite upbeat.
